MLS Playoff Attendance Up 30.2%
Published November 20, 2007
Total attendance for the '07 MLS Playoffs was up 30.2% from a year ago, topping the 200,000 mark for the first time since the league went to an 11-game format in '03. This postseason's average per-game attendance of 19,771 was also the highest average in MLS history. There were 39,859 fans in attendance for Sunday's MLS Cup at RFK Stadium, which saw the Dynamo capture their second consecutive title over the Revolution. It was the highest total for the league's championship game since '02, when the Galaxy defeated the Revolution at Gillette Stadium. The following presents an MLS playoff attendance trend, along with a game-by-game breakdown for the '07 playoffs (THE DAILY).
