John McDonough To Be Named New Blackhawks President

Cubs President JOHN MCDONOUGH will be introduced by Blackhawks Chair ROCKY WIRTZ as the new Blackhawks President in a press conference today at the United Center, according to the CHICAGO TRIBUNE.  McDonough was named Cubs President in October ’06 after ANDY MACPHAIL’s resignation. With an "uncertain future of new Cubs ownership and the marketing challenge of a lifetime to restore the Hawks to their former place in Chicago sports, the move [to the Blackhawks] would be attractive to McDonough” (CHICAGOTRIBUNE.com, 11/20).
