Return To Sender: DHL Denies Report Of Olympic Sponsorship
Published November 14, 2007
DHL execs are denying a report from yesterday that said the company was hoping to secure a top-level sponsorship for the 2010 Vancouver and 2012 London Olympic Games, according to Ed Hula of AROUND THE RINGS. A DHL exec in the U.S. said that the report was "wrong," and a staffer at the company's HQs in German "reacted with surprise to the Brand Republic report, indicating nothing involving the Olympics is imminent." Hula notes DHL's F1 sponsorship "is considered the major set-piece in its global sports marketing program" (AROUNDTHERINGS.com, 11/14).
