Sabres Make Available 4,500 More Tickets For Outdoor Game
Published November 9, 2007
The Sabres Friday will make available 4,500 tickets for obstructed-views seats for the January 1 Amp Energy Winter Classic at Ralph Wilson Stadium on the team's Web site, and fans will have a week to sign up for as many as four seats, "with a random draw determining who gets the tickets," according to a front-page piece by Gene Warner of the BUFFALO NEWS. At least one person in "any group of ticket purchasers must be age 16 or younger," as each lot of tickets will contain a "colorcoded ticket that an adult can't use for admission." The new tickets, located in the stadium's first 15 rows, became available "only after [NHL] and NBC officials determine which seats weren't needed for TV cameras, other technical equipment and the announcing crews." The Sabres will donate another 500 seats to various youth groups (BUFFALO NEWS, 11/9).
