MSG Opens Additional Seats For Saturday's Cotto-Mosley Bout
Published November 8, 2007
With the initial 16,000 tickets projected to sell out for Saturday's Miguel Cotto-Shane Mosley welterweight championship at MSG, the arena will open the upper mezzanine for only the second boxing event since '01, creating an additional 3,000 seats at $50 each. Cotto's defeat of Zab Judah on June 9 sold out with over 20,600 tickets sold. Cotto-Mosley is promoted by Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions and Bob Arum's Top Rank. Sponsors for the fight include Rums of Puerto Rico and Puerto Rico Tourism, Paramount Pictures' "Beowulf," Tecate Beer and Southwest Airlines. The event is available on HBO PPV for $49.95 (Golden Boy).
