  • Pats-Cowboys Draws Huge TV Audience
    While we often note -- much to the dismay of networks and properties -- the trend of declining ratings, the numbers from Sunday’s Patriots-Cowboys game on CBS are mind-boggling. The game drew 29.1 million viewers, making it the most-watched NFL regular-season game on a Sunday since ’96 – 11 years!  It drew the largest TV audience since Fox’ “American Idol” finale in May. Meanwhile, the MLB playoffs charted record lows on TBS for the NLCS, but are showing signs of life on Fox for the ALCS. Looking ahead, is that shrieking noise we hear from Fox execs facing a Rockies-Indians World Series?
