Final Ratings For MLB On ESPN, Fox

ESPN was up in ratings for the ’07 MLB regular season, averaging an 1.5 coverage area rating for 64 telecasts, a 25.0% increase from an 1.2 rating for 98 games last year, when more day games were telecast. ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball” was also up 10.0% in the ratings, averaging a 2.2 rating. On ESPN2, there was similar success, with the net averaging a 0.9 coverage area rating for 24 games, up from a 0.8 last year for 33 games. On Fox, 26 Saturday-afternoon regular-season telecasts averaged a 2.3/6 rating, down 4.2% from a 2.4/7 for 18 telecasts in '06, when coverage began in late May.
