Time Warner Cable To Carry NHL Network On Sports Tier

Time Warner Cable will offer the NHL Network on its digital sports tier, marking the first time the network, which launched in Canada in ’01, will be available to U.S. cable subs, according to R. Thomas Umstead (MULTICHANNEL NEWS, 10/5). CABLEFAX DAILY reports Cox Communications has also inked a deal to carry the NHL Network (CABLEFAX DAILY, 10/5). Bright House Networks is adding the network to its digital sports tier, and is also bringing back NHL Center Ice, the league’s out-of-market games package (ORLANDO SENTINEL, 10/5). Cablevision's talks with the league about carrying NHL Network on its digital sports tier and renewing its deal to offer NHL Center Ice continue (NEWSDAY, 10/5).
