Blog Hound: Should Isiah Thomas Be Fired?
Published October 4, 2007
A N.Y. jury on Tuesday found Knicks President of Basketball Operations & coach Isiah Thomas, MSG Chair James Dolan and MSG liable -- to the tune of $11.6M -- in the suit brought against them by former Knicks exec Anucha Browne Sanders. Today's Blog Hound gathers opinions and data on one of the many questions yet to be answered regarding this story: should/will Isiah Thomas be fired?
The HR Capitalist Posted by: Michael Moore
“Although I wouldn't fire him in the middle of a trial, I think Mr. Thomas will be in the unemployment line at the end of the proceedings. His credibility is gone as demonstrated in his media interviews.”
SpursReport Posted by: Hairyhandedgent
“This will snowball and he will probably be suspended pending appeal ...If they fire him outright it would look like an admission of guilt by MSG and hurt any chance they may have on appeal.”
SLAM Online Posted by: white hot eboy
“From a public relations angle, they’ll let him coach out the year. If they suck again (no playoffs) he will be gone, and the team will have that angle to use to cement their place.”

“It hardly seems that justice was done. Isiah will wake up today with his salary intact, prancing around with that famous smile in his $3,000 suits.”
SIVACRACY Posted by: Siva Vaidhyanathan
“Will he be fired? If so, will he be shunned by the sports establishment and media? Or will he just weasel his way into another lucrative position?”
