Stone, Brenly Join TBS For MLB Playoffs As Game Analysts

TBS is adding former MLBer Steve Stone, who has worked for WGN and ESPN, and WGN's Bob Brenly to its MLB playoff announcing roster. Stone and Brenly will join longtime TBS Braves analyst Joe Simpson and Baseball HOFer Tony Gwynn. Also joining TBS: former Giants and Mets play-by-play announcer Ted Robinson, NESN Red Sox announcer Don Orsillo, Dick Stockton and Chip Caray, who will work with Gwynn in the only pairing TBS has revealed (USA TODAY, 9/21). Meanwhile, DirecTV and Time Warner are expected to carry TBS' new HD channel in time for the MLB playoffs, while Cablevision, Verizon FiOS and Dish "do not currently have plans to add it by early October" (NEWSDAY, 9/21).
