Premier League Club Chelsea Inks Deal With Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways, the national airline of United Arab Emirates, has signed a three-year deal with English Premier League club Chelsea to become a platinum sponsor for the team as well as its official int’l airline partner. The deal, worth in the seven figures, allows Etihad to put its logo and branding on the team’s Stamford Bridge stadium. Chelsea and Etihad will also work together on several projects including a potential tour of UAE and the Far East. Chelsea previously had a jersey sponsorship with Emirates Airline until ’05, when the airline signed a deal with Premier League club Arsenal that included jersey rights and the title sponsorship of the team’s new stadium (THE DAILY).
