TBS Unveils Broadcast Teams For MLB Postseason Coverage

TBS yesterday unveiled its broadcast teams for its ’07 MLB postseason coverage, which begins October 3. The studio team will consist of host Ernie Johnson, Baseball HOFer Cal Ripken Jr. and Blue Jays DH Frank Thomas. Following is a list of the booth pairings and field reporters (TBS):

NOTES: During the NLCS, Brenly will join the team of Caray and Gwynn (THE DAILY). On Long Island, Neil Best writes, “The most intriguing wild card is Orsillo, who is the Red Sox play-by-play man on NESN. Would TBS dare put him on the [Yankees]? The network intends to avoid assigning him to the Red Sox, and he is far less familiar with the NL than the AL" (NEWSDAY, 9/25).
