Saturday Night Live: MyNetwork To Show IFL Fights In November
Published September 25, 2007
MyNetworkTV plans to carry an IFL event from Chicago live on November 3, marking the first mixed martial arts event to be carried live on broadcast TV. "The IFL World Grand Prix" semifinals also marks the first live primetime fight of any kind -- MMA or boxing -- on broadcast TV since March '98. MyNetworkTV and the IFL plan to make an official announcement later today. The telecast's biggest draw will be two rematches. One is a lightweight fight between Chris Horodecki and Bart Palaczewski, and the other a heavyweight tilt between Ben Rothwell and Roy Nelson. MyNetworkTV carries taped IFL events Saturdays at 8:00pm ET.
