College Kickoff: THE DAILY Offers A Special Season Preview
Published August 30, 2007
The college football season kicks off with two games tonight, and ESPN televising LSU-Mississippi State at 8:00pm ET. Today, THE DAILY begins a two-day season preview, offering news and analysis around some of the biggest issues facing the sport. We discuss the college football landscape with SI's Stewart Mandel and CBSSports.com's Clay Travis; update the Big Ten Network's carriage negotiations with its launch slated for tonight; look at the online efforts of some schools to promote their Heisman Trophy candidates; and catch up with ESPN's Lee Corso. Tomorrow, look for Part II of our Roundtable with Mandel and Travis; an analysis on how much revenue some marquee schools are forgoing by not shopping naming rights to their stadiums; and a One-on-One with ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit.
