Adidas Has Deal In Place To Stay With German Soccer Federation
Published August 24, 2007
adidas Chair & CEO Herbert Hainer said that the company has reached a “tentative deal that would extend its contract” as the official supplier to the German Soccer Federation (DFB) beyond 2010, according to Mark Jewell of the AP. adidas sought arbitration in March after the DFB “received a supply offer from Nike” worth $778M over eight years. But Hainer said adidas and the DFB “have a compromise which will give us a long-term relationship” (AP, 8/22).
