Nike To Sponsor FSN High School Gridiron Telecasts
Published August 20, 2007
For the second consecutive year, Nike will sponsor FSN’s national high-school football telecasts. The deal, which is worth about $700,000, will see Nike renew the title sponsor role for FSN’s 10-game schedule. Last year, Nike paid about $500,000 to sponsor an eight-game schedule. Similar to last year’s deal, Nike will have an on-screen presence during the games, with the Nike swoosh adorning scoreboard breaks and billboards. Nike also will sponsor a halftime show called, “The Nike High School Picture of the Week,” which will be chosen from photos sent to Foxsports.com. The Nike High School Football Game of the Week kicks off August 30 with two Arizona high schools: Hamilton and Brophy College Prep. FSN also plans to telecast more than 100 high-school football games locally, via its RSNs in Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Ohio and California. Nike will also have a presence in some of those local season-ending championship games.
