Broncos Warn Season-Ticket Holders of New Fan Behavior Policy
Published August 6, 2007
The Broncos are instituting a new campaign tagged "Respect the game. Respect each other" that seeks “to crack down on profanity, violence, and disturbances by fans,” according to David Montero of the ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS. The team has mailed fliers to season ticket holders asking them to use "appropriate language, settle disagreements civilly, and stay sober and in control” during games at Invesco Field. The Broncos are also creating a system for fans to report bad behavior anonymously by sending text-messages to security. Though 25 season tickets were revoked last year for scalping, none were taken away for unruly behavior. The Broncos will refund the balance to any season ticket holder whose pass is revoked. Broncos VP/Stadium Operations Marc Freeman said that any season-ticket holder who gives their ticket to someone else “remains responsible if that person acts in an unruly manner” (ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS, 8/6).
