Heat GM RANDY PFUND has signed a contract extension to remain with the club for a 13th season (MIAMI HERALD, 7/21)....The Rangers promoted JIM SCHOENFELD to Assistant GM, replacing DON MALONEY, who became Coyotes GM last month.  Schoenfeld will remain GM of the AHL Hartford Wolf Pack but will no longer coach the team (AP, 7/24)....The MISL Chicago Storm named UPS Account Exec DAVID KELBY Dir of Business Development (Storm)....The NFL Cardinals named DARREN URBAN Website Manager for azcardinals.com.  Urban was most recently a sportswriter for the East Valley Tribune, where he spent the last eight seasons covering the Cardinals (Cardinals).

EXECS: Nike Golf Dir of Marketing CHRIS MIKE was named VP/Marketing at Converse, a Nike footwear subsidiary (BRANDWEEK, 7/23 issue)....Spalding named WENDY UNGER-MOORE Marketing Manager, overseeing initiatives with the NBA, WNBA and NBA D-League. Previously, Unger-Moore was at Creative Presence Partners (BRANDWEEK, 7/23 issue)....The Int’l Council of Arbitration for Sport appointed Marquette Univ. Law School National Sports Law Institute Dir MATT MITTEN to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (THE DAILY)....Tampa Sports Authority Exec Dir HENRY SAAVEDRA received a three-year contract extension that includes an increase in base salary from $200,000 a year to $205,000 (ST.
