Only 15,000 Breeders' Cup Tickets Set Aside For General Public
Published July 20, 2007
The New Jersey Sports & Exposition Authority (NJSEA) announced Thursday the general public “will have access to just 15,000 seats” when Monmouth Park hosts the Breeders’ Cup on October 26-27, according to Matthew Futterman of the Newark STAR-LEDGER. The number of public tickets is limited because Breeders’ Cup Ltd, which runs the event, “takes so many for itself and the [NJSEA] needs to make sure its preferred customers and sponsors have access to all the tickets they need.” Breeders’ Cup Ltd. will hold 14,000 tickets, while the NJSEA will set aside 12,500. Prices range from $50-260, and fans who receive tickets through the NJSEA will have to buy them (Newark STAR-LEDGER, 7/20).
