Blank And His Troubled Star

Falcons Owner Arthur Blank has shifted into damage control mode, upon news about Michael Vick's indictment. After speaking with Roger Goodell and Falcons management, it is unclear what course of action he'll take, but one report says the league is looking at ways to recoup $34M in signing bonuses. Consistent with yesterday's reports, it appears unlikely that Goodell will punish Vick before the legal process runs its course. But, by many accounts, Vick's marketability is already heading in the wrong direction.
