ESPN Unveils '07 Lineup For NFL Studio Programming
Published July 13, 2007
ESPN unveiled its NFL lineup for the coming season, as well as the continuation of its multi-platform "MNF Surround," under which the net's NFL TV programming will begin each Monday with "NFL Live" at 3:30pm ET. With Ron Jaworski moving to the "MNF" booth, the "Monday Night Countdown" talent will include Chris Berman, Mike Ditka, Tom Jackson, Keyshawn Johnson, Chris Mortensen and Bill Parcells in the Bristol studio and Stuart Scott, Emmitt Smith and Steve Young on-site at the game. Among other changes for '07, Trey Wingo will replace Scott as host of "NFL PrimeTime," joining Ditka, Merril Hoge and Mark Schlereth; Johnson, Mortensen and Parcells will have a new weekly show on ESPN Radio on Friday nights; and Hoge, Matthew Berry and Howie Schwab will host the Sunday-morning "ESPNews Fantasy Insider" show (ESPN). USA TODAY's Michael Hiestand reports former "MNF" analyst Joe Theismann, "for now, is scheduled to have only a weekly espn.com column and to call in to some ESPN Radio shows" (USA TODAY, 7/13).
