NBA.com Agrees To Skip Milwaukee Questions For Yi Interview
Published July 12, 2007
While Bucks draft pick Yi Jianlian "was not allowed to be interviewed by reporters" at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, NBA.com's Mo Wang on Tuesday posted a Q&A with Yi and Lakers draft pick Sun Yue, and he "had to agree not to ask any questions about Milwaukee as a condition for being allowed the interview," according to Bob Wolfley of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL. The rule was set by Yi's agent, Dan Fegan. Mo said that in order to conduct the interview he had to get permission from both Fegan and the Chinese Basketball Association (JOURNAL SENTINEL, 7/12).
KINGS IN PLAY? In Sacramento, Scott Howard-Cooper reports the Kings "would be one of the preferred destinations for [Yi] if he is successful in forcing a trade." It is "not known" whether any talks between the Kings and Bucks have taken place. Kings co-Owner Gavin Maloof declined comment Wednesday night, as did Fegan (SACRAMENTO BEE, 7/12).
