College World Series Sees Decline In Viewers On ESPN/ESPN2

The NCAA College World Series (CWS) averaged a 0.9 coverage-area rating for five telecasts on ESPN, down from a 1.1 last year, and a 0.8 for ten games on ESPN2, even with last year.  ESPN earned a 1.3 rating and drew 1.2 million viewers for Game One of the championship series rematch between Oregon State and North Carolina, down 27.8% and 24.2%, respectively, from a 1.8 rating and 1.6 million viewers for Game One last year.  Game Two on ESPN2 saw a 3.1% rise in viewership from last year, but its rating was flat at 1.5.  The following presents ratings and viewers for ESPN and ESPN2's coverage of '07 College World Series and Championship games, with comparisons to '06, as well as for coverage of the Super Regional matchups (THE DAILY).
