InDemand To Distribute MLB Extra Innings Package To RCN
Published June 8, 2007
InDemand will distribute MLB’s Extra Innings out-of-market TV package to RCN Cable, according to R. Thomas Umstead of MULTICHANNEL NEWS. Neither execs from InDemand nor RCN would officially confirm the deal, but RCN has “already begun promoting the package in its systems.” RCN will offer the package after the MLB All-Star break for $129. As part of the deal, RCN is also “required to distribute the league’s new 24/7 baseball channel.” The deal marks the first time InDemand has distributed any content to RCN (MULTICHANNEL.com, 6/7).
