Sears Centre Hires Former Pacers Exec Jeff Bowen As Exec Dir

Sears Centre in suburban Chicago has hired former Pacers exec JEFF BOWEN to be the arena's Exec Dir. Bowen replaces STEVE HYMAN, who was a partner with real estate firm Ryan Cos., to design, develop and operate the 11,000-seat minor league facility in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Hyman and Ryan Cos. officials declined to comment on the reason for Hyman's departure. Bowen was most recently Pacers Sports & Entertainment VP/Scheduling & Production Services at Conseco Fieldhouse and had worked for the NBA team for about ten years. Bowen, whose first day on the job was June 1, confirmed that the United Hockey League's Chicago Hounds have folded after completing their first season in the arena. Sears Centre still has soccer, football and lacrosse tenants.
