Bruckheimer (l) In Talks
For Vegas Expansion Team
Las Vegas appears closer than ever to getting its first major league team, but it is not the NBA taking the jump. The NHL confirms it is in talks with movie and TV producer Jerry Bruckheimer about owning an expansion team in Sin City. Bruckheimer heads a group of entertainment execs, including MGM Studio Chair Harry Evans Sloan, interested in the team, and while obvious issues remain, including the lack of a suitable arena, Bruckheimer has talked with AEG about possibly building and operating a facility.
