FSN North Inks Multi-Year Renewal With T’Wolves
Published May 25, 2007
FSN North renewed its rights deal with the T’Wolves, signing a multi-year deal that extends a 12-year relationship. Terms were not immediately available, though the length is expected to be between seven and ten years. As part of the deal, which will start with the ’08-09 season, FSN North will televise 40 games per season. Under the current deal, FSN North — the only RSN in the Minneapolis market — televises 35 games. The deal also includes the rights to all first-round and some second-round playoff games. Tom Hanneman and Jim Petersen will continue to do play-by-play and color for the telecasts. Also as part of the deal, FSN North has agreed to produce a weekly half-hour show called “Wolves Live.” The RSN also has committed to carry six WNBA Lynx games per season.
