| Yankees Place Jackie Robinson Memorial In Yankee Stadium’s Monument Park |
PARKING PLACE: The Brewers announced plans to place a commemorative plaque at the landing point of Hank Aaron’s 755th, and final, home run. The ball was hit at Milwaukee County Stadium and “landed in the grandstand along the left field foul pole, which today serves as a parking lot at Miller Park” (BIZJOURNALS.com, 4/17).
GATE KEEPER: The Dodgers plan to reopen a fifth parking gate at Dodger Stadium this weekend in hopes to “alleviate parking lot congestion without alienating the neighborhood groups that successfully lobbied for that gate to be closed 11 years ago.” The team will use the gate for games with “particularly large crowds,” and it has “agreed to pay for traffic officers to prevent departing fans from using side streets on their way to freeways” (L.A. TIMES, 4/18).
