COURT TIME: MICHAEL MICHAELS, the former landlord for Saints RB REGGIE BUSH’s parents, has reached an undisclosed settlement agreement with the Bush family for “alleged unpaid rent and other losses in a case still under investigation by the NCAA” (SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE, 4/13)....Agent GUSTAVO DOMINGUEZ was convicted of smuggling five Cuban baseball players into the U.S. His attorney said they would appeal the convictions, “most of which carry a maximum penalty of 10 years each in prison.” The “most damaging” evidence was $225,000 in wire payments paid to a drug trafficker from the account of Dominguez’ client, Cubs C HENRY BLANCO (MIAMI HERALD, 4/13).
LAX TIME: NLL N.Y. Titans F GREG PEYSER, who works during the week as an investment banker, was profiled on CNBC’s “Street Signs” last night. CNBC’s Darren Rovell noted a junior trader on Wall Street earns $50,000-75,000, but playing lacrosse “helps pays the bills.” NLL rookies average $7,000 for four months of work. Peyser said, “Compared to my real job on Wall Street, I’d say that the two don’t really correlate, other than the fact that it is competitive” (“Street Signs,” CNBC, 4/12).
