Comcast Taps Page Thompson As Golf Channel President

Comcast has selected PAGE THOMPSON as the next President of Golf Channel, sources inside the company confirmed. An official release is planned for Tuesday. Thompson comes to the job from Comcast’s cable operations, where he has overseen its VOD platform as Senior VP & GM of Video Services. Thompson will relocate from Philadelphia to Orlando and will be tasked with growing the network’s interactive and VOD programming. The president title has been vacant since ’05, when then-president DAVID MANOUGIAN was promoted to CEO. Manougian will remain CEO of the net.
