Kroenke To Become Next American To
Acquire English Premiere League Team?

In London, Matthew Goodman reported Kroenke Sports Enterprises and MLS Rapids Owner Stan Kroenke is “in talks with ITV about buying” its $78.6M stake in English Premier club Arsenal. ITV owns 9.9% of the club and is “said to want about [$15,714] a share.” The revelation will “fuel speculation” that Kroenke “could be preparing to launch a full bid” for the team. The Rapids signed a marketing partnership with Arsenal last month (LONDON TIMES, 3/25).

GRIZZLIES: The Grizzlies announced that for the second consecutive season there will not be a price increase for renewing season-ticket holders. Returnees will also be eligible to win “unique team prizes and one-of-a-kind experiences,” including a trip for two to Spain in October to watch the team’s preseason games. Renewing season-ticket holders will also receive a Rudy Gay Swingman jersey (Memphis COMMERCIAL APPEAL, 3/24).

TEXANS: In Houston, John Lopez wrote Texans Owner Bob McNair has “lost fans’ trust. Of all the things McNair has and will change as the Texas undergo a complete makeover, it should start with him” (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 3/25).
