Ameriquest Name Coming Off Rangers' Ballpark

Trouble around the sub-prime mortgage industry has made its way into sports, as Ameriquest has agreed to return naming rights to the Rangers’ ballpark to the team. While the team declined to comment on whether the financial uncertainty of its former partner is a reason behind the move, Ameriquest announced a large layoff last week and company spokesperson Chris Orlando acknowledges, “We’re evaluating all our market needs.” The Rangers see this as an opportunity to strengthen their own brand, as the facility will now be called Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
