The USOC named Stanford Univ. AD BOB BOWLSBY and Discovery Communications Founder & Chair JOHN HENDRICKS to its BOD, replacing outgoing members JIM MCCARTHY and Princeton Univ. President Emeritus Dr. HAROLD SHAPIRO (USOC)....GREG WALKER, Kodak’s “point-man for Olympic sponsorship,” has been named Dir of Worldwide Marketing Communications for Kodak’s Consumer Digital Group. KAREN KOZAK will take over as Senior Olympic Marketing Manager. Kozak has been involved in Kodak’s Olympic efforts since ’00 and currently manages all global Olympic marketing, PR and hospitality efforts (AROUND THE RINGS, 2/2 issue).

MEDIA: AD AGE promoted Associate Publisher SCOTT DONATON to Publisher, coinciding with the retirement of Publisher JILL MANEE (ADAGE.com, 2/2)....Fox Sports promoted Manager of Communications TIM BUCKMAN to Dir of Communications and Senior Publicist ILEANA PENA to Manager of Communications. FSN promoted Manager of Media Relations JUSTIN SIMON to Dir of Media Relations and Senior Publicist EMILY CORLISS to Manager of Media Relations (Andrew Marchand, SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 2/5 issue).

EXECS: Del Mar Thoroughbred Club promoted C.P. (MAC) MCBRIDE to Dir of Media. McBride has been a member of the track’s media staff since ’81 (Del Mar)....The Astros promoted Dir of HR LARRY STOKES to Senior Dir of HR, Marketing & Promotions Manager CLINT PASCHE to Assistant Dir of Marketing and Ticket Sales Rep KYLE DAWSON to Premium Sales Manager. The club also hired KATY WALDEN as Special Events Coordinator (Astros).
