NOTES: A Knowledge Networks/SRI survey commissioned by ESPN Research found that 102 million people ages 12-24 in the U.S. watched, listened to, read or logged on to ESPN media each week during the fall, up 5% over 97 million a year earlier. The survey measures the usage of ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Classic, ESPNews, ESPN Radio, ESPN The Magazine, ESPN.com and ESPN Wireless Publishing. The greatest increase came from ESPN.com, which grew 57% from 14.2 million weekly users to 22.4 million (ESPN)....Speed experienced its fourth straight year of viewership growth in ’06 and posted the highest primetime and total-day ratings in network history. Average primetime viewership was 247,000, up 10% over ’05. Average total-day viewership was 128,000, up 14% from ’05 (Speed).

CORRECTION: In Thursday’s issue, a chart included an incorrect calculation comparing Golf Channel ratings for the PGA Tour’s Mercedes-Benz Championship to ESPN’s ratings last year. THE DAILY regrets the error.
