ESPN named ROBERT WALLACE VP of EOE, where he will be responsible for the creative and strategic vision of EOE programming and production in the areas of documentary and unscripted/reality while also collaborating on EOE’s scripted projects. Wallace established his own media consulting company, Tumbling Dice Media, in ’05. From ’93-97, Wallace was a Senior Producer & Senior Story Editor for DIANE SAWYER at ABC’s “Prime Time Live” (ESPN)....GolTV named HBO/Cinemax Latin America Dir of Marketing DIDI MONTIEL Dir of Marketing. NORTH OF THE BORDER: HELENA GUERGIS was named Secretary of State for Sport by Canadian Prime Minister STEPHEN HARPER. Guergis replaces PETER VAN LOAN, who had held the position since November. Guergis “may not be long for the position either (as) a national election could be called in 2007 should Harper’s government lose a confidence vote, perhaps resulting in a totally new government.” DAVID EMERSON will remain the minister for the 2010 Games and Int’l Trade (AROUND THE RINGS, 1/5 issue).
