CBS SportsLine Offering Rebates For Fantasy Football Following Series Of Technical Glitches

CBS SportsLine.com is offering its fantasy football customers price rebates of 25% for this season or 50% off next season after a series of high-profile technical glitches this year. The offer is a first for the company, which saw its servers repeatedly fail to handle player traffic effectively at peak periods of play. "We have very high expectations for ourselves, and when those expectations aren’t met, we don’t think people should be paying full price," said CBS SportsLine.com Dir of Communications Alex Riethmiller. The company, in self-evaluation grades posted on the Web site, has given itself A’s for each of the last four weeks of fantasy football play. But server and software problems earlier in the season generated two weeks with F grades, including one for the opening week of the campaign, and three others with D's.
