Royals Offering Buy-Two, Get-Two Free On Season Tickets

The Royals, in an effort to “boost low attendance,” are offering a buy-two, get-two free deal on view box season tickets, according to Sam Mellinger of the K.C. STAR. The seats are the first 11 rows of the upper deck, from dugout to dugout, and are $12 per game for season tickets. There are about 3,000 view box seats, “a few hundred of which sold as season tickets last year.” Royals Dir of Season Ticket Sales Rick Amos said, “We know families are busy, and it’s tough for them to commit. But if you get two or three or four families together on this to share, even after you pay for parking, they can sit in great seats for $33.” The Royals, which had an average ticket price of $13.71 last season, sold about 7,500 season tickets (K.C. STAR, 12/15).
