TEAM NOTES: The Grizzlies announced that Elliot Perry and Hank McDowell will serve as radio color commentators for the team this season. Perry will work all home games, and he and McDowell will split away games (Grizzlies)....The Flames and Shaw Communications will partner on 13 PPV games this season, making 75 of the team’s 82 games broadcast on TV, the highest number in club history (Flames).
NOTES: FSN Arizona won seven Emmy Awards for sports TV production from the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter, the most ever by the RSN. Anchor Brad Steinke won the award for top sports anchor for the third time in four years (FSN Arizona)....Runner’s World magazine set an all-time record for total ad pages in a single issue (74.16) and PIB ad revenue (over $6.6M) with its November issue. The issue features Lance Armstrong on the cover (Rodale).
