BROWNS REACH LOCAL DEAL: The Browns have reached a deal with WKYC-NBC for the station to broadcast four preseason games this year and provide additional team programming. A pre- and postgame show will air for each preseason game. During the season, WKYC will host the “Pregame Huddle” at 11:30am ET every Sunday, as well as “The Point After” Mondays at 7:00pm. Also, a Browns program will air on the net Sunday nights after NBC’s national game broadcast (Browns). In Cleveland, Roger Brown notes WKYC held the team’s local rights from ’99-’04 before the club signed a deal with WOIO-CBS (Cleveland PLAIN DEALER, 8/4).
CSN SIGNS ACC: Comcast SportsNet (CSN) has signed a five-year deal with the ACC, under which the net will broadcast up to 42 men’s basketball games each season. CSN will also air up to 26 women’s basketball games and three women’s tournament games. The agreement includes conference and non-conference games (CSN).
