SportsBusiness Daily is seeking an entry-level Staff Writer at our Charlotte, NC, headquarters. Qualified candidates will have knowledge of sports and business issues, with equally strong writing and verbal skills. Must also have a solid work ethic and thrive in a team environment. Strong editing and copy-editing skills needed, as well as the ability to work very well under the pressure of a deadline. Computer and Internet skills also required.
We are also seeking an entry-level Research Associate. Qualified candidates must have knowledge of sports and business issues, with very strong data analysis skills. Responsibilities include presentation of all charts and graphs in SportsBusiness Daily, including television ratings, attendance and surveys, as well as establishing and maintaining important industry contacts with research groups, television networks and others. Candidates must be able to access public documents and financial reports and study other business indices and research. Must thrive in a team environment and be able to work well under daily and weekly deadlines. Strong computer, Internet research skills, and Excel knowledge a must.
