N.Y. BASEBALL: Mets games are averaging a 2.7 on SportsNet N.Y. this season, up 80% from the team’s entire ’05 season on MSG. SNY is also averaging 87,769 more HHs during the first half of this season than MSG in ’05, which SNY calls “the largest average increase” on an RSN among MLB teams. Rounding out the top five viewership increases for the first half are the Tigers (FSN Detroit, 25,753 HHs), Rockies (FSN Rocky Mountain, 19,105), Red Sox (NESN, 14,014) and Reds (FSN Ohio, 11,442) (SNY). YES Network Dir of Communications Eric Handler said Yankees telecasts on the net have averaged 315,000 HHs, up from 307,000 HHs at the same point last season (MARKETWATCH.com, 7/10).

ROGERS: Rogers Sportsnet posted a 78% increase in the adults 18-34 demo for 62 Blue Jays games during the first half of the season. The average audience of 384,000 HHs through the end of June is up 28% over the ’05 average of 300,000 HHs for the same period (Rogers).

WIMBLEDON: ESPN2’s daytime Wimbledon coverage averaged 448,000 HHs, up 2% from 441,000 HHs last year. The net’s “Wake Up to Wimbledon,” the hour-long show that began at 7:00am ET, drew an average of 149,000 HHs, up 35% from 110,000 HHs last year (TENNISWEEK.com, 7/13).
