Leigh Steinberg Named In Loan Lawsuit; Barry Zito To Boras

NFL Giants RB CHAD MORTON filed a lawsuit in Orange County (CA) Superior Court alleging that his former agent, LEIGH STEINBERG, and an associate, DAVID KIM, “defaulted on a series of loans totaling $336,000,” according to Dave McKibben of the L.A. TIMES. Morton said that they “promised several times over three years to pay him back but did not.” Steinberg, a minority partner in Kim’s SLL Enterprises, “was initially unaware that Morton had loaned SLL money.” Kim said that Steinberg “knew nothing about the loans and said he intended to repay Morton” (L.A. TIMES, 7/8).
