SportsBusiness Journal looks at one of the most active categories in sports sponsorship: isotonics, energy drinks and water. Gatorade and Powerade have slugged it out in the sports space for market supremacy in the isotonics category. But we’ll go beyond the big labels and look at smaller brands that have used sports to carve their niche. And in the emerging category of energy drinks, we’ll look at how are brands using sponsorships to differentiate themselves in an increasingly crowded marketplace.
