Villegas Appearing In GQ Photo Spread

CAMILO VILLEGAS continues to make his rounds in non-golf magazines, this time landing a spot in GQ. The magazine’s July issue, which hits newsstands Tuesday, features a two-page spread on the PGA Tour rookie. Photos of the 24-year-old Colombian, which were shot in April at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa in Doral, Florida, show him strolling down a fairway with a female caddie and lounging by a pool sporting clothes by J. Lindeberg, one of his sponsors. The spread’s subhead describes Villegas as having “a closet full of tight trousers, a set of boxer’s biceps and more screaming female fans than JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE.” On Villegas being one of the new faces of the PGA Tour, Commissioner TIM FINCHEM told the magazine, “Golf needs to look more like the rest of the country and the rest of the world and it’s heading in that direction.”
