| Royals Address Media Credentials Flap On Team’s New Blog |
(ROYALS.MLBLOGS.com, 6/15). In K.C., Jason Whitlock wrote the Royals “are preaching about professionalism while treating their fans to a steady diet of amateur play and unveiling a cowardly blog to defend a week-old act of cowardice.” Royals Media Relations Dir Aaron Babcock said that a picture of new GM Dayton Moore that briefly appeared on a link to the blog “was a function of MLB.com and not the Royals.” Babcock said Moore “has had nothing to do with this” (K.C. STAR, 6/17). In N.Y., Mike Vaccaro wrote Royals Owner David Glass and President Dan Glass “are the most ineffective, ineffectual and downright incompetent ownership act in sports, bumbling at every turn, small time in every way. ... These rubes have no business in professional sports” (N.Y. POST, 6/18).
