Overnight Nielsen Ratings From Weekend Sports Events

The following lists overnight Nielsen ratings from weekend sports events (THE
DAILY).
ABC: Saturday's regional NCAA Men's basketball coverage, which aired during NBC's Olympics coverage, was down 7.1% from a 1.4/3 last year…. NBA coverage of Pistons-Heat, also up against NBC Olympics coverage, was down 11.4% from a 3.5/7 for the comparable Lakers-Cavaliers last year.
CBS: Saturday's NCAA Men's basketball coverage of Duke-Maryland was up 4.8% from a 2.1/5 for the comparable Wisconsin-Illinois game last year…. Sunday's NCAA Men's basketball Illinois-Ohio State coverage was down 28.0% from a 2.5/6 for the comparable UNC-UConn in '05…. Third-round coverage of the PGA Tour's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, up against NBC Olympics coverage, was down 22.6% from a 3.1/7 in '05. Final-round coverage, also up against NBC Olympics coverage, was down 40.5% from a 4.2/9 last year (THE DAILY).
