The sports agency landscape is set for another shake-up as Wasserman Media Group has acquired the NBA and MLB practices of former SFX Sports CEO Arn Tellem. Tellem, who recently exercised an option to buy out of his SFX contract, will become President of WMG Management. Tellem brings with him approximately 50 clients each from MLB and the NBA, along with many of the agents from his SFX practice. Meanwhile, NBA agent Rob Pelinka, the only agent in SFX’ L.A. office not making the move to WMG, will become President of SFX Basketball L.A.
