IN MEMORY: WILLIAM DICKSON GEORGE III, one of the Penguins Founders along with PETE BLOCK and JACK MCGREGOR, died January 4 in Mexico due to complications from cancer treatment. He was 71. Son IAN GEORGE said, “He was the catalyst who went out and got a bunch of people to invest [in the Penguins]” (PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, 1/11).
