SAFETY FIRST: AAA, which inked a three-year primary sponsorship deal for Roush Racing’s No. 6 NASCAR Nextel Cup car, will feature driver Mark Martin in a series of PSAs focusing on teen driver safety that center on the need for parents to set a good example for children when it comes to safe driving (AAA).
NEW RIDE: In Milwaukee, Dave Kallmann reports ’05 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Ted Musgrave, who was “left out of work when Jim Smith closed the doors on Ultra Motorsports” last week, has agreed to a deal with Germain Motorsports (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 1/11).
GROWTH FORMULA: In Charlotte, David Poole reports Wood Brothers Racing, which will field one Nextel Cup car in ’06 with driver Ken Schrader, has entered into a partnership with ST Motorsports, which has two Busch Series teams, and “will be working toward becoming a multicar Nextel Cup team.” Co-Owner Eddie Wood: “We had to get bigger like anybody else.
