Patriots Owner ROBERT KRAFT has been elected to the BOD of the new Viacom, which will be formed following the company’s spin-off of CBS. Kraft will Chair the Compensation Committee and serve on the Nominating & Governance Committee (Viacom)....NFL Giants GM ERNIE ACCORSI signed a contract extension to stay with the team “for at least another year.” Accorsi said that two reasons for his decision were “the strong play of the Giants and the recent deaths” of co-Owners WELLINGTON MARA and ROBERT TISCH. Accorsi: “Due to the circumstances and all that’s happened, they just don’t need another change. We need stability” (N.Y. TIMES, 11/23)....The Blue Jays promoted Communications Dir JAY STENHOUSE to VP/Communications and Stadium Operations Dir MARIO COUTINHO to VP/Stadium Operations & Security (Blue Jays)....ALLEN TURNER, who has been with the Mariners since ’00 as the interpreter for P KAZUHIRO SASAKI and RF ICHIRO SUZUKI, has left the organization despite the team’s recent signing of C KENJI JOHJIMA. The club has not decided how to replace Turner (SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER, 11/23).
